We are now looking for two Head of Inventory Planning and Optimization for Metso Global Logistics Operations to join our Global Inventory Planning organization serving Services and Consumables Business Areas. Both positions will report to the Head of Global Inventory Planning.
In the Head of Inventory Planning and Optimization role you will lead an organization that has end-to-end inventory planning and optimization business ownership based on assigned responsibility area.
Global Inventory Planning is responsible for executing Metso BL’s inventory strategy aiming to optimize supply chain inventories and to meet availability, inventory healthiness and inventory turn targets. You will collaborate with many stakeholders internally, like Product lines, Procurement and Global Logistics organizations to ensure and improve the performance linked to customer service, availability and inventory healthiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Availability, inventory and supply chain planning management globally according to the strategy and guidelines based on assigned BL’s.
- Optimize availability, inventory and supply chain performance according to the strategy and given performance targets.
- Drive implementation of supply chain planning and collaborative planning concepts to Global Logistics Operations network.
- Define and implement effective Inventory Planning and Optimization team, structure, system set-up, services and processes based on the strategy and performance targets.
- Assure, through continuous improvement activities and performance monitoring, the optimization of processes, competencies and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with assigned BL/PG/PM management and well as respective stakeholders by providing solutions and information and enable the strategy implementation.
- Communicate and work together seamlessly with the stakeholders.
- Manage and improve capabilities and competence of team members.
- A Bachelor’s degree in logistics, economics, technical or other relevant field.
- Work experience and/or knowledge of spares or wears business, inventory management, demand forecasting, supply chain management and logistics.
- Strong management and execution skills as well as ability to work effectively and accurately on several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to handle complex entities of information.
- Fluent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
- Internal and external customer-orientated mindset is a must.
- Comprehension and knowledge of market requirements.
